Guys,

We have a pre-season friendly game against Reading Lacrosse Team on Saturday 22nd September, face off will be 1-2pm, to be confirmed.

Please keep this date free as this game will be important for our development and to see how we are progressing as a team, dont forget Reading is a Prem team.........good experience for us......

Guys,

Have just got an email from Reading advising me that the game against them will now be on Sunday the 23rd as the pitch is unavailable on 22nd.

Please confirm that you are available for this game.

Guys,

The game on Sunday......we will be facing off at 1pm so we will need to leave Cheltenham at around 10am to get there for 11.30 - 12pm. This will give us time for a stretch and warm up.

Please make sure you are at training on Friday.....we need to sort out the car situation......

TO ALL,

I HAVE POSTED THIS ON LAXFORUMS AFTER COMMENTS BEING POSTED ABOUT THE GAME........JUST TO LET YOU ALL KNOW DONT REPLY OR MAKE ANY COMMENTS ON LAXFORUMS REGARDING THE REF PLEASE.....IT IS A NOT TO BE DISCUSSED ANY FURTHER......

Many thanks to Reading for hosting the 3 way today......and thanks to both teams for the games.

I think the scores in the above post were correct and I would like to thank the players from the Cougars for putting in a good showing and congratulate them for the hard work they put in today.

The Reading game was good to watch and both teams played hard all game but Cougars had that little bit more in the end.....

The EG game was a bit different as I think both teams tried that little bit harder and it became very scrapy and forgot to play the ball and wanted to put the players on the deck.....As Whitey said Cougars spent a bit of time warming the penalty box and paid for it with EG scoring....not always the best thing to do as you can only win the game by putting the ball in the back of the net, thats what EG did......

One of the things that occured was at the face off with a conversation between ref and one of our players, as I saw it at the time I did feel that the call was incorrect by the ref but accepted his call, he is the ref and his call is final. Below I have copied the ruling and he was correct according to the rules.......apologise to the ref...

34.5 Whilst the two players who are participating in the face-off are still down in the face-off position,
and the ball is still between and in contact with their sticks, it shall be illegal for any other player
to make contact with the body or crosse of either of those two players.
Checking either the stick or the gloved hand of either player participating in the face-off is a
Technical Foul.
Body checking either player participating in the face-off is a Personal Foul.

Many thanks to all the refs for their help today and look forward to coming season....

There is nothing else going to be said about it.......
